The Hydraforce 5122156 (5122156) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, pilot-operated, spool-type proportional pressure reducing/relieving valve. This component is designed to be infinitely adjustable across a specified range using a variable electric input. The regulated pressure it provides is directly proportional to the electrical current input. When current is applied to the valve coil, the TS10-36X model permits flow from port 2 to port 1 until the pressure at port 1 becomes sufficient to open the pilot section by counteracting the solenoid force induced electrically. Once this predetermined pressure at port 1 is reached, the valve shifts its position to restrict inlet flow from port 2, thus maintaining regulated pressure at port 1.
