The Hydraforce 5111183 (5111183) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority-type proportional flow control regulator. It can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way, pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. Designed for efficient regulation of priority flow from port 1 to port 3 regardless of system working pressure, the flow rate is proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Excessive flow bypasses out of port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary function control. It's important to avoid dead heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking of the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications with port 2 blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 remains proportional to the current applied to the solenoid regardless of load pressure at port 3. The PV70-30 model boasts excellent linearity and hysteresis characteristics and features a hardened spool and cage for extended durability. It offers optional coil voltages and terminations and incorporates an efficient wet-armature construction. The cartridges are voltage-interchangeable, and its unitized molded coil design ensures reliability with standard coil waterproofing.
