The Hydraforce 5111180 (5111180) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority type proportional flow control regulator. This versatile device can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way pressure compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. Designed for efficient operation, the valve regulates priority flow out of port 3 from inlet flow at port 1, with the flow rate being proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Excessive flow bypasses out of port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary function control. It is important to avoid dead-heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking of the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications where bypass port 2 is blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 remains proportional to the current applied to the solenoid regardless of load pressure applied to port 3. This product boasts excellent linearity and hysteresis characteristics due to its hardened spool and cage construction which ensures long life. It offers optional coil voltages and terminations along with efficient wet-armature construction for reliable performance. The cartridges are voltage-interchangeable, providing flexibility in application settings. Additionally, it features a unitized molded coil design with standard waterproofing for durability in various environments and includes a manual override option for added control versatility.
