The Hydraforce 5111097 (5111097) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority-type proportional flow control regulator. This versatile component can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way, pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. With inlet flow at port 1, the valve regulates priority flow out of port 3 irrespective of system working pressure. The flow rate is proportional to the current applied to the solenoid, while any excess flow bypasses out of port 2 for potential auxiliary function control. It is important to avoid dead heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications where bypass port 2 is blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 remains proportional to the solenoid's current regardless of load pressure at port 3.
