The Hydraforce 5111083 (5111083) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority-type proportional flow control regulator. Designed for versatility, it can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. With inlet flow entering through port 1, the valve ensures regulated priority flow out of port 3, independent of system working pressure. The flow rate is directly proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Excessive flow is redirected through port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary function control. It's crucial to avoid deadheading of the priority line by external valving to prevent obstruction of the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications where port 2 is blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 remains proportional to the solenoid current regardless of load pressure at port 3.
