The Hydraforce 5111081 (5111081) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority-type proportional flow control regulator. This versatile valve can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way, pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. Designed for efficient operation, it regulates priority flow from port 1 to port 3 with the flow rate being directly proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Any excess flow is bypassed through port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary functions. To ensure optimal performance and prevent issues such as blocking of the bypass line, external valving should avoid dead-heading of the priority line. In applications where the valve operates in restrictive mode with port 2 blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 remains consistent and proportional to solenoid current regardless of load pressure at port 3.
