The Hydraforce 5111071 (5111071) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority-type proportional flow control regulator. It can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. With inlet flow at port 1, the valve regulates priority flow out of port 3 irrespective of system working pressure, with the flow rate being proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Any excess flow bypasses through port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary function control. It is important to avoid dead heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking of the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications where bypass port 2 is blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 remains proportional to the current applied to the solenoid regardless of load (pressure) at port 3. This product features excellent linearity and hysteresis characteristics and includes hardened spool and cage for long-lasting performance.
