The Hydraforce 5111057 (5111057) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority-type proportional flow control regulator. This versatile component can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator by blocking port 2. When inlet flow enters through port 1, the valve effectively regulates priority flow exiting port 3 regardless of system working pressure, with the flow rate being directly proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Excessive flow is redirected through port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary function control. It's crucial to avoid deadheading of the priority line via external valving to ensure proper bypass line functionality. In restrictive mode applications where bypass port 2 is blocked, the output flow from port 3 remains proportional to the solenoid current irrespective of load pressure at port 3.
