The Hydraforce 5111041 (5111041) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority-type proportional flow control regulator. This versatile component can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way, pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator by blocking port 2. When inlet flow is directed to port 1, the valve ensures regulated priority flow out of port 3, independent of system working pressure. The flow rate is directly proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Any excess flow bypasses through port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary function control. It is crucial to avoid deadheading the priority line via external valving to prevent blockage of the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications where bypass port 2 is blocked, the flow rate from port 3 remains proportional to the current applied to the solenoid regardless of load or pressure at port 3.
