The Hydraforce 5111031 (5111031) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority type proportional flow control regulator. It is designed to regulate priority flow from port 1 to port 3, with the flow rate being proportional to the current applied to the solenoid, irrespective of system working pressure. The valve also functions as a restrictive type, 2-way pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. Excessive flow bypasses through port 2 and can be redirected for auxiliary function control; however, care should be taken to avoid dead heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking of the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications with port 2 blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 remains consistent and proportional to the current applied to the solenoid regardless of load pressure at port 3.
