The Hydraforce 5111018 (5111018) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed priority type proportional flow control regulator. This versatile component can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator by blocking port 2. When inlet flow enters through port 1, the valve ensures priority flow exits through port 3, independent of system working pressure. The flow rate is directly proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Excessive flow is diverted out of port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary functions; however, external valving should avoid dead-heading of the priority line to prevent bypass line blockage. In applications where port 2 is blocked for restrictive mode operations, the outflow from port 3 remains proportional to the solenoid's current regardless of load pressure applied at port 3. The PV70-30 model boasts excellent linearity and hysteresis characteristics due to its hardened spool and cage design that enhances durability.
