The Hydraforce 5111009 (5111009) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority type proportional flow control regulator. This versatile valve can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way, pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. When inlet flow is directed to port 1, the valve regulates priority flow from port 3 regardless of system working pressure, with the flow rate being proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Excessive flow bypasses through port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary function control. It is crucial to avoid dead-heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications where bypass port 2 is blocked, the flow rate from port 3 remains proportional to the solenoid current regardless of load pressure at port 3. The valve boasts excellent linearity and hysteresis characteristics and features a hardened spool and cage for durability. It offers optional coil voltages and terminations along with efficient wet-armature construction. The cartridges are voltage-interchangeable, and it includes a unitized, molded coil design with standard coil waterproofing. A manual override option is also available for added convenience in operation.
