The Hydraforce 5111008V (5111008V) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority-type proportional flow control regulator. This versatile component can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way, pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. Designed to regulate priority flow from port 1 to port 3 regardless of system working pressure, the valve's flow rate is directly proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Excessive flow is bypassed through port 2 and can be utilized for auxiliary functions. It is important to avoid dead-heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking of the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications, with port 2 blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 remains proportional to the solenoid current irrespective of load pressure at port 3.
