The Hydraforce 5111003 (5111003) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority-type proportional flow control regulator. This versatile valve can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way, pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. Designed to regulate priority flow from port 1 to port 3 irrespective of system working pressure, the flow rate remains proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Excessive flow is bypassed through port 2, which can be utilized for auxiliary function control; however, it is crucial to avoid dead heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking of the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications where bypass port 2 is blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 continues to be proportional to the solenoid current regardless of load or pressure applied at port 3.
