The Hydraforce 5110523 (5110523) is a solenoid-operated, pressure-compensated, spool-type, normally closed, priority type proportional flow control regulator. It can also function as a restrictive type, 2-way, pressure-compensated proportional flow regulator when port 2 is blocked. With inlet flow at port 1, the valve regulates priority flow out of port 3 regardless of system working pressure, with the flow rate being proportional to the current applied to the solenoid. Excessive flow bypasses out of port 2 and can be used for auxiliary function control. It is important to avoid dead heading of the priority line by external valving to prevent blocking of the bypass line. In restrictive mode applications where bypass port 2 is blocked, the flow rate out of port 3 remains proportional to the current applied to the solenoid regardless of load pressure applied to port 3. This product features excellent linearity and hysteresis characteristics and includes a hardened spool and cage for long life. It offers optional coil voltages and terminations along with efficient wet-armature construction.
