The Hydraforce 5285105 (5285105) is a highly efficient hydraulic directional element designed for precise control in fluid power applications. Known as the EV16S34, this screw-in, cartridge-style valve operates as a spring-biased blocking valve with an internal pilot orifice. It is engineered to shift and allow full flow from port 1 to port 2 only under specific conditions where port 3 is vented to create a pressure drop across the internal orifice that exceeds the bias spring value.
This model boasts multiple application potentials due to its versatile design features, including smooth shift transitions and a low-pressure drop, enhancing its operational efficiency. The EV16S34 is available in various configurations with different cap heights to accommodate higher bias springs (90, 110, and 160 psi). An extra tall cap version is also available for the 240 psi bias spring, ensuring adaptability for more demanding applications. Furthermore, it offers an optional manual override feature applicable only for bias springs rated at 40, 90, 110, 160, and 240 psi.
Additionally, the EV16S34 includes a G metering option for controlled metered flow when opening, providing precise management of fluid dynamics. The design incorporates an industry-common cavity which simplifies installation and maintenance while ensuring compatibility with standard hydraulic systems. This model’s robust construction and reliable performance make it suitable for a wide range of hydraulic applications requiring accurate directional control and efficient operation.
