The Hydraforce 5278246 (5278246) is a sophisticated direct-acting, spool-type, proportional, pressure reducing relieving valve designed for versatile hydraulic applications. The EHPR0833X model operates by allowing free flow from port 1 to port 3 when no electrical current is applied to the coil. Upon energizing the coil, port 2 connects to port 1, enabling controlled pressure adjustments. The device's functionality allows for an increase in reduced control pressure in proportion to the current supplied to the coil. Additionally, if the pressure at port 1 surpasses the preset limit induced by the coil's activation, excess pressure is conveniently relieved back to port 3.
This valve features both 12 and 24-volt coils as standard options and includes an optional manual override for enhanced operational flexibility. The manual override operation engages at precisely 2¼ turns and builds up pressure at approximately 11.7 bar (170 psi) per turn, providing precise control over hydraulic pressures. Notably, any back pressure on port 3 adds directly to the pressure setting in a one-to-one ratio, enhancing its utility in various hydraulic systems.
The EHPR0833X valve fits industry-common cavity dimensions for ease of integration into existing systems and offers optional waterproof E-Coils rated up to IP69K for robust performance in demanding environments where moisture or dust ingress is a concern. This makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications requiring reliable and adjustable hydraulic pressure management.
