The Hydraforce 5278100M (5278100M) is a high-performance, direct-acting, spool-type, proportional pressure reducing and relieving valve designed to manage fluid power in hydraulic systems efficiently. The EHPR0833X model operates by allowing free flow from port 1 to port 3 when no current is applied to the coil. Upon energizing the coil, it connects port 2 to port 1, and increasing the electrical current enhances the control of reduced pressure proportionally. This feature ensures precise control over hydraulic pressures in dynamic systems.
A notable capability of this valve is its ability to relieve excess pressure. If the pressure at port 1 surpasses the set limit induced by the coil's activation, it automatically relieves this excess pressure back to port 3. This safety feature prevents potential damage due to overpressure conditions within the system.
The Hydraforce 5278100M also includes options for manual override operations which engage at approximately 2-1/4 turns and build up pressure at a rate of about 11.7 bar or 170 psi per turn, providing additional control during maintenance or emergency situations.
