The Hydraforce 5122972 (5122972) is a direct-acting, spool-type, proportional pressure-relieving valve known as the TS38-21. This valve operates by regulating pressure inversely to the input electrical current, meaning that as electrical current increases, the regulated pressure decreases. It features a protective 150 mesh screen at port 1 and blocks flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to overcome the preset spring force. In a no-current state, the valve will relieve at maximum range, while applying current reduces the spring force and thus lowers the valve setting. The TS38-21 is designed with versatility in mind, offering both 12 and 24-volt coil options as standard. For enhanced durability and protection against harsh environments, optional waterproof E-Coils are available with ratings up to IP69K.
