The Bosch Rexroth BRAKING ELEMENT UBPS 3005 AS1A (R161974051) is a high-performance pneumatic braking unit designed for dynamic and static stabilization in the axial direction of ball rail systems. This braking element can be utilized with all SNS ball guide rails, ensuring compatibility across various sizes of profiled rail systems including sizes B, E, H, d, and N. It features a compact design that is compatible with DIN standards and boasts a solid, rigid steel housing that is chemically nickel-plated for durability. The UBPS 3005 AS1A offers very high axial holding forces up to 2500 N at a release pressure of 5 bar due to its high-power spring energy accumulator. When additional pressurization is applied via the airplus port, the holding force can increase up to 4000 N. It also incorporates an integrated all-around sealing system to protect against contaminants and ensure maintenance-free operation for up to 10 million clamping cycles or up to 250,000 emergency braking operations. This unit operates on a functional principle where it clamps and brakes using spring force; in case of pressure drop, the dual-acting gate valve gear mechanism with spring assembly ensures reliable clamping or braking. The quick-exhaust valve contributes to swift reaction times during operation. The UBPS 3005 AS1A has an air consumption rate at standard air port of approximately 4 liters and requires minimal air consumption for its functioning. It is designed for use in environments with permissible ambient temperatures ranging from -10°C to +80°C.
