The Hydraforce 5911218 (5911218) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting, poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed for lower flow circuits that demand minimal internal leakage. This valve effectively blocks flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to move the spring-opposed poppet off its seat. It features several pressure adjustment options, including non-adjustable factory presets and adjustments labeled A, B, and C with positive stops to prevent springs from becoming solid. The valve offers optional spring ranges up to 248 bar (3600 psi) and provides rapid response to pressure changes. Additionally, there is an option for bi-directional pressure capability if a bi-directional pressure seal is used. Its compact size makes it suitable for applications with space constraints. While this model serves existing and new applications well, it is noted that the RVD58-20 is a superior alternative in most cases due to comparable pressure and flow ratings, improved response rates, better pressure rise characteristics, smaller size, and competitive cost.
