The Hydraforce 5610042V (5610042V) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting, poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed for pressure limiting in common hydraulic circuit protection. This valve is suitable for use with mineral-based or synthetic hydraulic fluids that possess lubricating properties. The RV10-20X model effectively blocks flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to displace the poppet from its seat. It provides a rapid response to load changes in hydraulic circuits where low internal leakage is required. While this model serves well in various applications, it is worth noting that the RVD58-20 is considered a superior alternative with enhanced features such as smaller size and improved pressure rise characteristics. However, the RV10-20X remains a reliable option for existing and new applications where a direct replacement or smaller form factor isn't necessary. It should be noted that the GRV10-20 corrosion-resistant version of this valve is not recommended for crossover applications.
