The Hydraforce 5606455P (5606455P) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting, spool-type hydraulic pressure reducing/relieving valve. It features an internal spring chamber drain and spool damping chamber, designed to regulate pressure for secondary circuits. In its steady state, the valve allows bidirectional flow from port 2 to port 1 with constant drainage from the spring chamber at port 3. When a predetermined pressure is reached at port 1, the cartridge shifts to block flow at port 2, thus regulating pressure at port 1 and relieving it to port 3 if necessary. The valve includes features such as adjustments that cannot be backed out of the valve and adjustments that prevent springs from going solid.
