The TS12-27X model effectively limits pressure by blocking flow from port 1 to port 2 until sufficient pressure at port 1 overcomes the spring force to open the pilot section. When no current is applied, the valve relieves at its maximum set pressure; applying current decreases the pressure required for relief proportionally.
