The Hydraforce 5040373 (5040373) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, normally closed, poppet-type, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve. It is specifically designed to act as a load-holding or blocking valve in systems that require minimal internal leakage. The operation of this valve is straightforward: when de-energized, the SVX model functions as a check valve, permitting fluid flow from port 1 to port 2 while preventing flow in the opposite direction. Upon energization, the poppet lifts to open the flow path from port 1 to port 2; however, in this state, the flow from port 2 to port 1 is significantly restricted.
This model boasts several features enhancing its functionality and longevity. It has a continuous-duty rated coil and a hardened seat that ensures extended life and maintains low leakage levels. The efficient wet-armature construction of the SVX model contributes to its reliable performance under varying operational conditions. For added versatility, it offers optional coil voltages and terminations and can be equipped with manual override options. Furthermore, unitized, molded coil designs enhance durability and consistency of performance.
Options for waterproof E-Coils are available as well, which are rated up to IP69K for environments requiring robust water and dust protection. This makes the Hydraforce 5040373 suitable for various challenging applications while ensuring cost-effectiveness through its efficient cavity design.
