The Hydraforce 5040156 (5040156) is a solenoid-operated, 2-port, normally closed, poppet-type, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve. It is specifically designed to function as a load holding or blocking valve in various applications, particularly where low internal leakage is crucial. The operation of this valve is straightforward: when de-energized, the SVPAX model acts as a check valve allowing flow from port 1 to port 2 while blocking the reverse flow. Upon energization, the poppet lifts to open the flow path from port 1 to port 2, though in this mode, the flow from port 2 to port 1 is severely restricted. This model features an integral position sensor that indicates when the valve has shifted. It has a continuous-duty rated coil and a hardened seat which ensures long life and minimal leakage. The Hydraforce 5040156 offers optional coil voltages and terminations to accommodate diverse system requirements. Its efficient wet-armature construction enhances its performance and reliability under varying operational conditions. Additional notable features include voltage interchangeable cartridges and waterproof E-Coils that are rated up to IP69K. The unitized, molded coil design contributes to its robustness. Furthermore, it boasts a solenoid tube and coils that are rated for 96-hour salt-spray endurance, underscoring its suitability for harsh environments. This makes it an ideal choice for applications demanding high durability and precise fluid control.
