The Hydraforce 5040142 (5040142) is a solenoid-operated, 4-port, normally closed, poppet-type, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve. This valve is specifically designed to function as a load holding or blocking valve in various applications, particularly where low internal leakage is crucial. In its default state when de-energized, the 5040142 acts as a check valve allowing hydraulic flow to pass from one port to another while effectively blocking flow in the reverse direction. Upon energization, the poppet lifts to facilitate the flow from port to port though restricting it from moving back from port 2 to port 1.
The unit features an integral position sensor that provides real-time feedback on the valve's status whether shifted or not. It boasts a continuous-duty rated coil and a hardened seat that ensures longevity and minimal leakage over time. The valve offers optional coil voltages and terminations adapting to various operational needs. Its efficient wet-armature construction along with interchangeable voltage cartridges adds versatility and ease of use in diverse hydraulic systems.
Additional robust features include waterproof E-Coils rated up to IP69K ensuring operation in harsh environments. The design is further enhanced by a unitized, molded coil design and solenoid tubes and coils that are resistant to corrosion with a 1000-hour salt-spray rating, promoting durability and reliable performance under challenging conditions.
