In its default state when de-energized, the SV1020X configuration allows fluid flow from port 1 to port 2 while preventing reverse flow from port 2 to port 1, acting effectively as a check valve. Upon energization, the poppet lifts to open the flow path from port 2 to port 1 while severely restricting flow in the opposite direction, thus enabling control over fluid transfer and pressure in the system.
