The Hydraforce 5029398 (5029398) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, piloted, poppet-type, normally open, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve specifically designed for low leakage in load-holding applications. This valve functions by allowing flow from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized; however, flow from port 1 to port 2 is significantly restricted under these conditions. Upon energization, the valve's poppet closes against its seat effectively blocking flow from port 2 to port 1. To allow flow in the reverse direction (from port 1 to port 2), a pressure ranging from 50 to 150 psi (3.4 to 10.3 bar) is required to overcome the solenoid force.
