The Hydraforce 5021648 (5021648) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, piloted, poppet-type, normally open screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve. It is specifically designed for low leakage in load-holding applications. The valve operates by allowing flow from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized; however, the flow from port 1 to port 2 is severely restricted under this condition. Upon energization, the valve's poppet closes against its seat, effectively blocking flow from port 2 to port 1. To allow flow from port 1 to port 2 when the valve is energized, a solenoid force of between 50 to 150 psi (3.4 to 10.3 bar) must be overcome. This model features a continuous-duty rated coil and a hardened seat that ensures both long life and minimal leakage. Its efficient wet-armature construction along with unitized, molded coil design enhances its durability and reliability in various operational environments.
