The Hydraforce 5021477 (5021477) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, piloted, poppet-type hydraulic cartridge valve that is normally open and specifically designed for low leakage in load-holding applications. This valve operates by allowing bidirectional flow from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized. Upon energization, the poppet closes to block flow in this direction, while still permitting free reverse flow from port 1 to port 2 after overcoming the solenoid force which requires between 50 to 150 psi (3.4 to 10.3 bar).
