Operationally, the 5020454 acts as a check valve when de-energized, allowing fluid flow from port 1 to port 2 while preventing reverse flow from port 2 to port 1. Upon energization, the valve's poppet lifts to facilitate flow from port 2 to port 1, while severely restricting the flow in the opposite direction.
