The Hydraforce 5011118 (5011118) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, piloted, poppet-type, normally open, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve tailored for low leakage in high-pressure load-holding applications. This model operates by allowing flow from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized; however, this flow is severely restricted from port 1 to port 2. Upon energization, the valve's poppet closes against its seat to block flow from port 2 to port 1 entirely. The device then permits flow from port 1 to port 2 once the solenoid force of 50 to 150 psi (3.4 to 10.3 bar) is overcome.
