The Hydraforce 5011040 (5011040) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, piloted, poppet-type hydraulic cartridge valve designed for precise control in hydraulic systems. This model is normally open and excels in low leakage applications, particularly suitable for higher pressure load-holding tasks. The valve operates by allowing flow from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized; however, this flow is severely restricted from port 1 to port 2 under the same conditions. Upon energization, the valve's poppet closes firmly against its seat to block flow from port 2 to port 1 entirely. For reverse flow from port 1 to port 2, the solenoid must be overcome with a pressure range of 50 to 150 psi (3.4 to 10.3 bar).
Key features of the Hydraforce 5011040 include a continuous-duty rated coil and corrosion-resistant plating that enhances durability and performance longevity. The hardened seat ensures low leakage and increased valve life. Flexibility in system design is supported through optional coil voltages and terminations, and all cartridges are voltage interchangeable. The unitized, molded coil design contributes to robust operation and installation ease.
Additionally, this model offers a manual override option which can be crucial for maintenance or emergency operations. For environments requiring robust protection against moisture and dust, optional waterproof E-Coils are available rated up to IP69K standard. Its industry-standard compact size allows for easier integration into various hydraulic systems without requiring extensive modifications.
