The Hydraforce 5010824 (5010824) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, normally open, poppet-type hydraulic cartridge valve. This valve is specifically designed to function as a load holding or blocking valve in various applications where low internal leakage at high pressure is crucial. The SF0823 poppet component of the valve lifts to open from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized, allowing flow in both directions between these ports. Conversely, when the valve is energized, it acts as a check valve by blocking flow from port 2 to port 1 after overcoming a solenoid force that requires between 50 to 150 psi (3.4 to 10.3 bar).
