The Hydraforce 5010555 (5010555) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, piloted, poppet-type hydraulic cartridge valve that is normally open and specifically designed for low leakage in high-pressure load-holding applications. This screw-in valve operates by allowing flow from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized; however, flow from port 1 to port 2 is significantly restricted. Upon energization, the valve's poppet closes against its seat to block the flow from port 2 to port 1 completely. The valve then permits flow from port 1 to port 2 once the solenoid force, which requires between 50 to 150 psi (3.4 to 10.3 bar), is overcome.
