The Hydraforce 5010552 (5010552) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, normally open, poppet-type, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve specifically designed for low leakage in load-holding applications. Its operational mechanism allows for flow from port 2 to port 1 when the valve is de-energized. Conversely, flow from port 1 to port 2 is significantly restricted under the same conditions. Upon energization, the valve's poppet closes tightly against its seat to block flow from port 2 to port 1 entirely. The cartridge design facilitates flow from port 1 to port 2 once the solenoid force is overcome.
This model features a continuous-duty rated coil and a hardened seat which ensures both long life and minimal leakage. It offers flexibility in system design with optional coil voltages and terminations, making the cartridges interchangeable across different voltages. The unitized, molded coil design enhances durability and reliability of the valve operation. For environments requiring robust performance, there is an option for waterproof E-Coils that are rated up to IP69K.
Additional usability features include a manual override option which can be crucial in maintenance or emergency situations. The compact size of the Hydraforce 5010552 makes it suitable for applications where space is at a premium but performance cannot be compromised. This valve fits an industry-common cavity, thereby simplifying installation and maintenance processes in hydraulic systems used across various applications where precise control of fluid flow is necessary.
