The Hydraforce 5009700VS (5009700VS) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, piloted, poppet-type, normally open, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve. It operates by allowing flow from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized; however, flow from port 1 to port 2 is significantly restricted under these conditions. When energized, the valve's poppet closes tightly on its seat, effectively blocking flow from port 2 to port 1 while permitting flow from port 1 to port 2 after overcoming a solenoid force that requires between 50 to 150 psi (3.4 to 10.3 bar).
