The Hydraforce 5003540V (5003540V) is a solenoid-operated, 2-port, normally closed, direct-acting spool type proportional screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve. This valve is designed to function as a bidirectional metering valve. In its default state when de-energized, the SP0824xx configuration blocks flow in both directions, maintaining a secure closure. Upon partial energization, as indicated by its performance curve, the valve begins to throttle flow gradually. Full energization of the valve opens the spool completely, thereby allowing free bidirectional flow. This flexibility in flow control makes it suitable for various hydraulic applications requiring precise control over fluid handling. The valve features an industry-common cavity which enhances compatibility with existing systems and simplifies installation processes.
