The Hydraforce 5003480P (5003480P) is a solenoid-operated, 2-port, normally open, poppet type proportional screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve. It is specifically designed for low leakage in load-holding applications. In its default state when de-energized, the SP0821 configuration of this model allows fluid flow from port 2 to port 1 while restricting flow from port 1 to port 2. The valve's operation can be adjusted by varying the level of electrical energy supplied to it; partial energization begins to throttle the flow from port 2 to port 1. Upon full energization, the valve's poppet closes against the seat effectively blocking any flow from port 2 to port 1.
