The Hydraforce 5002230 (5002230) is a high-performance solenoid-operated, 2-port, normally closed, direct-acting, needle-type, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve. This valve is specifically designed to act as a load-holding device for low flow circuits that require extremely low leakage. The SL0822 model functions effectively by blocking flow from port 2 to port 1 when de-energized and facilitating a bidirectional flow when energized by lifting the needle point. Its operation includes acting as a check valve that allows flow from port 1 to port 2 while blocking the opposite direction under de-energized conditions.
This model is recognized for its durability and reliability with features such as a continuous-duty rated coil and a hardened seat which ensures long life and minimal leakage. It offers flexibility in system design with optional coil voltages and terminations, making the cartridges voltage interchangeable. The unitized, molded coil design enhances its robustness, while an optional manual override provides additional operational control. For environments requiring rigorous standards, optional waterproof E-Coils are available that are rated up to IP69K. Additionally, its industry common cavity allows for easy integration into various systems without the need for extensive modifications. The compact size of the Hydraforce 5002230 makes it ideal for applications where space is at a premium yet high performance is required.
