The Hydraforce 5001498 (5001498) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, poppet-type, normally open, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve that is particularly designed for low leakage in load-holding applications. The operation of this model is straightforward: when de-energized, the SV0823X poppet lifts to open the flow from port 2 to port 1 and allows flow from port 1 to port 2 as well. When energized, it functions similarly to a check valve by permitting flow from port 1 to port 2 and blocking flow from port 2 to port 1 after overcoming the solenoid force which requires between 50 to 150 psi (3.4 to 10.3 bar).
