The Hydraforce 5000578 (5000578) is a solenoid-operated, 2-way, normally closed, piloted poppet-type, screw-in hydraulic cartridge valve designed primarily to function as a blocking or load-holding device in low flow circuits. This model operates by allowing flow from port 1 to port 2 when de-energized, effectively acting as a check valve and blocking flow from port 2 to port 1. Upon energization, the cartridge’s poppet lifts to facilitate the flow from port 2 to port 1 while severely restricting the flow in the opposite direction.
