The Bosch Rexroth 4WE 6 D6X/EG96N9K4/B08/62 CSA (R978909819) is a high-performance directional control valve designed for hydraulic systems. It operates as a solenoid-actuated directional spool valve, which is essential for controlling the start, stop, and direction of fluid flow within a hydraulic circuit. The valve features a robust housing, one or two high-power electromagnets, a control spool, and return springs that facilitate its operation. In its default state, the control spool is held at the central or initial position by the return springs except in versions without spring return. Upon energizing the electromagnet with an electric signal, the control spool shifts from its rest position to an end position, allowing fluid to flow in accordance with the selected symbol. Once de-energized, the spool returns to its initial position unless it is a version with detent (OF) or without spring (O), which maintains the last position until further actuated. The valve can be manually operated through an auxiliary actuation mechanism in absence of electrical power. It also includes an option for spool position monitoring and features various configurations such as 3- or 4-way versions with porting patterns according to ISO standards. The solenoid coils are optionally rotatable by 90 degrees and come with electrical connections that can be either single or central. The product adheres to CE conformity for electrical voltages above certain thresholds and offers optional solenoid coil approval with UR marking according to UL standards. For applications requiring energy-efficient operations, this model includes versions with detent that allow for fixed positioning of the control spool without continuous current supply to the electromagnet. Additionally, it has been designed for soft switching behavior to minimize switching strokes and reduce potential system wear. Proper venting of the hydraulic system is necessary for optimal performance of this valve. Users should also be aware that pressure peaks may cause unintended movements in valves with detent and that internal leakage inherent in design may increase over time. Optional throttle inserts can be used when operating conditions exceed the performance limit of the valve during switching processes.
