The Bosch Rexroth 4WE 6 C6X/OFEG12NDA/62 (R978909471) is a high-performance directional spool valve designed for controlling the start, stop, and direction of fluid flow within a hydraulic system. This model features two solenoid-operated electromagnets that enable the valve to switch between its positions, providing precise control over the flow direction as determined by the selected symbol. The control spool is moved from its rest position to an active state when energized and returns to its initial position by return springs when de-energized, except for versions with detent (OF) or without spring (O). This particular valve model does not have a defined basic position in the de-energized state when configured without spring return (O). However, with detent (OF), it maintains its switching position without requiring continuous current supply to the electromagnet, enhancing energy efficiency during operation. The design includes auxiliary actuation for manual operation in the absence of magnet supply. The 4WE 6 C6X/OFEG12NDA/62 valve supports various configurations and options such as soft switching behavior for reduced switching strokes, throttle insert for managing excessive flows during switching processes, porting patterns according to ISO standards with or without locating holes, high-power solenoids which can be optionally rotated by 90 degrees, electric connections available as single or central connections, and optional spool position monitoring. The valve ensures compliance with CE conformity for electrical voltages greater than 50 VAC or 75 VDC according to the Low-Voltage Directive of the EU. For safety standards adherence, solenoid coils come with UR marking according to UL standard edition and optional approval according to CSA C22.2 No. 139. Specifications include a size component series X with maximum operating pressure of up to bar and maximum flow rates of DC l/min and AC l/min. Proper venting of the hydraulic system is essential for optimal performance. Pressure peaks in drain lines should be mitigated by separate return lines or check valves to prevent unintended control spool movements in detent versions. Internal leakage inherent in design may increase over service life; thus maintenance considerations should be taken into account for sustained operation efficiency.
