The Bosch Rexroth 4WE6U12-6X/EG24N9K4 (R900931231) is a high-performance solenoid-operated directional spool valve designed for controlling the start, stop, and direction of a flow in hydraulic systems. It comprises a housing, electromagnets, a control spool, and return springs. The valve can be manually operated with an auxiliary actuation in the absence of electrical power. This model is engineered without spring return on the control spool, which means it does not have a defined basic position when de-energized. The 4WE6U12-6X/EG24N9K4 valve offers soft switching behavior to minimize hydraulic shock and reduce switching strokes. This feature enhances the durability of the system by preventing excessive wear during operation. The unit is versatile with options for porting patterns according to ISO standards, with or without locating holes, and can accommodate high-power solenoids that are rotatable by 90 degrees. Electrical connections can be made either as single or central connections. For safety and compliance, this model conforms to CE standards for low-voltage directives applicable in the EU for electrical voltages greater than 50 VAC or 75 VDC. Additionally, the solenoid coil comes with an UR marking according to UL standard edition and has an optional approval according to CSA C22.2 No. 0-M91. This particular valve supports a maximum operating pressure of up to 350 bar and allows maximum flow rates of DC 60 l/min and AC 60 l/min respectively. It is suitable for various hydraulic applications where precise flow direction control is required without maintaining continuous power supply to the electromagnet due to its detent feature that holds the control spool in position once switched. Please note that separate return lines or check valves are recommended when using multiple valves due to potential pressure peaks that could cause unintended spool movements in versions with detent. Internal leakage inherent in this design may increase over time; thus, consideration should be given during system planning or maintenance scheduling.
