The Bosch Rexroth DR20-4-4X/50Y (R900491192) is a high-performance pilot-operated pressure reducing valve designed to efficiently manage system pressure. This valve primarily comprises a screw-in cartridge and housing, with options for subplate mounting either with or without an integrated check valve. In its default state, the DR20-4-4X/50Y allows hydraulic fluid to flow freely from the inlet to the outlet channel. The system's pressure is balanced by the force of a spring on the main control spool, which adjusts based on pressure changes in the outlet channel. As pressures fluctuate, if the outlet channel's pressure surpasses the spring's preset value, a pilot poppet activates to maintain consistent pressure levels. This action directs hydraulic fluid through a nozzle and into the spring chamber, enabling the main control spool to regulate and stabilize outlet channel pressure at a set point determined by the spring tension. For applications requiring free return flow from A to B channels, this model can be equipped with an optional check valve in its subplate-mounted version P. The DR20-4-4X/50Y valve also features various adjustment types for user convenience including a rotary knob, sleeve with hexagon and protective cap, lockable rotary knob with scale, and rotary knob with scale. It adheres to ISO porting patterns for compatibility and ease of installation. This Bosch Rexroth valve is capable of operating under maximum pressures up to specified bar levels and is part of component series X; X. Its robust design ensures reliable performance in maintaining desired reduced pressures within hydraulic systems while accounting for external pressures at port Y as part of total system pressure management.
