This valve incorporates an electromechanical converter torque motor, a hydraulic amplifier operating on the nozzle flapper plate principle, and a control spool within a sleeve for accurate motion control. The torque motor is actuated by an electrical input signal that creates a force with the help of a permanent magnet, resulting in the movement of the flapper plate and thus generating a pressure differential across the control spool. This differential moves the spool to connect the pressure port with one actuator port while simultaneously linking the other actuator port to the return flow port.
