The Bosch Rexroth LFA 40 H2-7X/FX10/12 (R978911893) is a sophisticated way cartridge valve designed for seamless integration into compact block systems. This valve is engineered to perform a variety of functions, including pressure, directional and throttle control, or combinations thereof. It can be precisely tailored to match the flow requirements of different actuator paths, offering a cost-effective solution for multi-functional applications. The LFA 40 H2-7X/FX10/12 consists of a control cover and an installation kit. The control cover houses the necessary control bores and may include additional features like stroke limitation, hydraulically controlled directional seat valves, or shuttle valves depending on the desired function. For further customization, electrically operated directional spool or seat valves can be fitted to the control cover. The installation kit comprises components such as a bushing, ring (up to NG), valve poppet (with or without damping nose), and closing spring. This valve's functionality is pressure-dependent with three key pressurized areas: A1, A2, and A3. The area at the valve seat (A1) serves as a reference point, with annulus areas A2 being either reduced or enlarged relative to A1 based on the specific version of the valve. This results in different area ratios which influence the force dynamics within the valve. Areas A1 and A2 are active in opening the valve while area A3 coupled with the spring works towards closing it. The LFA 40 H2-7X/FX10/12 allows for fluid transition either from port A to B or vice versa when appropriately pressurized by pilot oil discharge from channel B or an external pilot supply through channel A ensuring no leakage occurs when blocked. Equipped with remote control port options and stroke limitation capabilities, this model adheres to Standard series Size Component series X specifications with maximum operating pressures reaching up to bar levels and supporting maximum flow rates measured in liters per minute.
