The Bosch Rexroth 4WE 6 J6X/EG12N9K40 SO43A-1799 (R978030069) is a high-performance directional spool valve designed to control the start, stop, and direction of a flow within a hydraulic system. This model, belonging to component series X, is capable of handling maximum operating pressures up to 350 bar and allows for a maximum flow of DC 80 l/min and AC 60 l/min. The valve features two electromagnets which facilitate the movement of the control spool between switching positions without spring return, meaning there is no defined basic position when de-energized. This particular valve offers versatility with its porting pattern that aligns with ISO standards and comes with an optional locating hole. It's equipped with a high-power solenoid that can be optionally rotated by 90 degrees for ease of installation and maintenance. For electrical connections, it provides options for either single or central connection setups. Additional features include an optional auxiliary operating device for manual actuation without magnet supply and optional spool position monitoring to ensure operational accuracy. The design also conforms to CE standards in accordance with the Low-Voltage Directive EU for electrical voltages greater than 50 VAC or 75 VDC. Moreover, the solenoid coil comes with an approved UR marking according to UL508 edition and has an optional approval according to CSA C22.2 No. 139. The construction of this Bosch Rexroth directional valve includes provisions for soft switching behavior that minimizes switching strokes upon activation or deactivation, contributing to smoother operation and reduced system wear. However, due to its design principle, some internal leakage may occur over time. Lastly, users should be aware that pressure peaks in the drain line may cause unintended control spool movements in versions with detent; hence separate return lines or check valves are recommended. When operating conditions exceed the performance limit of this valve during switching processes, the use of a throttle insert is required to maintain optimal functionality.
